Vox denounces the European Commission for "supporting the German boycott" against the Spanish strawberry

The head of the Vox delegation in the European Parliament, Jorge Buxadé, denounced this Tuesday the "irresponsibility" of the European Commission for "putting itself in profile" before the disinformation campaign of the German association Compact against the red fruits of Huelva and " support the German boycott" against the Spanish strawberry.

This was indicated by Buxadé in statements to the media from Córdoba, after receiving the response from the Community Executive to the question he asked a few months ago in which he denounced the “demonization campaign” against berries in Huelva by Germany.

Specifically, in June Vox Europa denounced before the European Union "the sabotage campaign" against strawberry cultivation in Huelva perpetrated by Germany and "publicized with great fanfare by the Government of Pedro Sánchez". This Tuesday, Brussels responded by "washing its hands" and "blaming climate change" for the situation that farmers are experiencing.

“We demand European policies that stand on the side of our farmers, that do not demonize or criminalize them and that are at the service of producers,” exclaimed Buxadé, who advocated having “productive agriculture and livestock farming that is profitable and creates employment and wealth and can compete against foreign production.”

In turn, he pointed out that the European Commission “should be defending our farmers and not allowing the massive entry of foreign production under unfavorable conditions”, but, nevertheless, “it joins any campaign to support any minority of any nature” and "It leaves our farmers helpless."

This same morning, Buxadé, the Vox spokesperson in the Congress of Deputies, Pepa Millán, and the leader of the Solidaridad union, Rodrigo Alonso, participated in the demonstration of farmers and ranchers held in Córdoba against the community policies that "smother" the field.
