The SoyCicloviajera community celebrates its annual meeting this weekend

SoyCicloviajera is the first Spanish-speaking community of women who travel by bicycle. Born on social networks in 2017, it is made up of more than 20,000 women who are fond of adventure and cycling who share tips and routes and organize several expeditions a year.

Half a hundred women from all over Spain gather this weekend in Córdoba to tour the Comarca de los Pedroches for the annual gathering of the SoyCicloviajera community. The meeting starts tomorrow, Saturday, April 29, in the San Martín de Añora Park and until May 1, it will partially cover the Al Ballut route, a cycling route that aims to "promote quiet, peaceful tourism close to the inland towns". .

This online community, created spontaneously to share experiences by the Galician Iria Prendes, has grown exponentially in "only six years" and has become the "main" virtual meeting point for women cyclists from Spain and Latin America.

Initiatives like this are the ones that really promote women's cycling and help increase the number of women cyclists involved in this wonderful sport. Cycling tourism, like any other modality with pedals, is suitable for everyone and SoyCiclista continues to claim it for another year.
