The Mini Cooper "Alaska edition" that people are amazed by: "They are not going to get stuck in the snow"

Alaska's natural beauty and wildlife are often talked about, but what is less often mentioned is the harsh reality of living in a place where the climate can be unforgiving. Alaskans and visitors should be well equipped to deal with freezing temperatures, snowstorms, and long periods of darkness. From thermal clothing to emergency equipment, every detail is crucial to ensure safety and well-being in this harsh environment.

This preparation, as seen on TikTok thanks to user Joseph A. Madrid, has gone one step further: a Mini Cooper owner has decided that being small and urban is no longer enough and, to navigate the icy roads from Alaska, a major modification has been applied to the wheels.

In this way, it has gone from having the usual wheels to having triangular track wheels, similar to those of a tank. Therefore, although you never see the car moving, since it is parked, you sense that it could move through the snow in a timely manner.

What makes this transformation even more extraordinary is the rarity of track wheels on a Mini Cooper, a modification normally reserved for 4x4 off-roaders. This suggests that the owner has extensive knowledge of building and customizing vehicles, so the wheelset is likely a bespoke customization, given the dearth of companies selling specific tracks for Minis.

The video has quickly gone viral on different social networks due to the impressive wheels of the car. On Instagram, for example, they have agreed that these wheels are very suitable for Alaska: "They won't get stuck in the snow."

A TikTok user, who says he has had several of these cars, has indicated that this change of wheels should not have been done, since Minis, in his experience, are good cars for maneuvering through the snow, as long as they have appropriate tires. However, another has claimed that he tried it and was not very happy.
