The Alhambra prohibits the access of bicycles and skateboards within its monumental enclosure

The Alhambra in Granada, historically one of the most visited monumental complexes in Spain, has updated its visiting regulations and, among other novelties, has vetoed the circulation of bicycles, skateboards or similar devices, with or without a motor, inside its enclosure, which is considered "pedestrian".

This change is included in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) by which the regulations for visits, commercialization and other public uses of the monumental complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife and its attached assets were updated.

As regards access to vehicles, in the new regulation and in general for the monumental complex, the circulation of bicycles, skateboards, or similar devices, with or without a motor, is not allowed inside it.

This includes, collects the order, the areas of free public access, "except to meet needs for internal use."

Sources from the Board of Trustees have already indicated to EFE that some aspects have also been updated, such as the percentage of short-term sales, which has increased, because after the covid-19 pandemic it was observed that the visitor scheduled their visit in a shorter period of time.

Another novelty has been the improvement in ticket acquisition management for operators, who can include up to 60 people in the same purchase locator (until now the limit was 30), which was a demand from the sector.
