The long-awaited Mussara Donostia – San Sebastián 2024 has opened registration for the next edition, which will take place on April 21 in the capital of Gipuzkoa. This third installment of the cycle tourism test, supported by the renowned Mussara brand, promises to be an unforgettable experience for up to 1,200 cyclists.
The 148 kilometer route, starting and finishing in San Sebastián, will take participants through some of the most emblematic landscapes and picturesque towns in the geography close to the San Sebastián city. Riders will have the opportunity to conquer challenging climbs, including the acclaimed passes of Basakabi, Uitzi, Alkiza and Andazarrate.
Basque and Navarrese towns such as Hernani, Goizueta, Leiza, Lekumberri, Tolosa and Orio will join the itinerary, offering participants a unique experience. In the final stretch towards San Sebastián, the route will include the historic town of Usurbil, home of a cycling legend, Haimar Zubeldia, who has participated in the two previous editions of the Mussara Donostia – San Sebastián and will also be there in 2024.
Zubeldia's participation seeks to attract amateur cyclists who want to share a route with the Spaniard with the most participations in the Tour de France in history. Cycling enthusiasts have the opportunity to join this exciting experience and ride alongside legends, climb historic passes and enjoy the first months of good weather, dusting off their bikes.
Additionally, in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the brand's first march, the organization has launched the Mussara Club. This exclusive club offers bicycle lovers a series of offers, unique experiences and advantages in any of the four tests that make up the Mussara universe. Registration is now open, inviting cyclists to be part of this unique cycling tour.
