Laika Kreos, a luxury motorhome designed by the prestigious Italian coachbuilder Giugiaro

In the automotive world there is a concept called coachbuilder, which is linked to Italian tradition and its good taste in vehicle design. The elegance of these works is transferred to motorcycles, but also to cars and, of course, to supercars. The latest proposal from the motorhome manufacturer Laika, makes the most of that affection for image by partnering with GFG Style for the launch of the new Kreos H 5190 integral.

This collaboration has resulted in the most outstanding model in the range, with contributions made by the prestigious Giorgietto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio Giugiaro. A union that we already saw during the last International Caravaning Show in Barcelona in the profiled Kreos L 5009, responsible for showing the distinguished touches of a unique bodywork in the sector.

The creativity of Italian coachbuilders has no end, but it does not take extravagant risks either. Attention to detail is its hallmark, being easily recognizable in the world of passenger cars and, therefore, motorhomes. The stylistic contributions begin in the decorative drawings of the silhouette, but also in certain aerodynamic shapes that reduce air resistance.

The new Laika Kreos H 5109 captures everyone's attention with an exclusive and technological front, made of carbon fiber monobloc grafted into the body of the cabin. Furthermore, the large panoramic windshield and the small size of the A-pillar accentuate this integration, while significantly improving on-board visibility.

A feeling of space that is also transferred to the driving seats, an area completely renovated thanks to the intervention of GFG Style. The soft-touch materials are repeated on the instrument panel coverings, doors and side cabinets, decorated with eco-leather details.

At the same time, the technological equipment grows with supports for tablets or mobile devices, which can be charged in USB sockets, but the most popular has to do with camping. A moment in which, to sleep without light, we activate the blinds in three possible modes: complete closure, privacy system (from bottom to top) or sunshade (from top to bottom).

Rolling comfort is key in an all-wheel drive, so work has been done in the cabin, with insulation of the engine compartment and cabin to reduce noise and vibrations. The multi-layer construction of the motorhome body ensures excellent insulation, with a total thickness of 44 mm and internal carpeting for ideal acclimatization thanks to the ALDE heating system. So, once we arrive at the camping point, we can enjoy that pampering and comfort in the cabin.

The day area transports you to a Grand Luxury hotel instantly, with details such as the elegant Corian table or the large sofa. A space to share an exquisite menu cooked in its well-equipped kitchen, with a 153-litre gas oven, three-plate ceramic hob and double-top sink. The customer can order a dishwasher (option) or a Corian coffee machine stand.

The bathroom does not go unnoticed either, with the differential touch of Italian class in its elegant dressing table. The set of mirrors hides the closets, so order will be important in this luxury apartment on wheels where we can shower in its differentiated spaces.

When it comes to sleeping, the rear twin beds are 80 x 195 centimeters, so they can be converted into a double bed quickly. They have an adjustable headboard and a spring suspension system for maximum comfort, as is also offered by the 140 x 195 centimeters electrically operated folding bed with Froli slatted base. In short, a design and layout carefully thought out for traveling in business class.
