JP Morgan surfaces the purchase of 10.5% of Indra and displaces Escribano as the second shareholder

JP Morgan has entered Indra, emerging this Wednesday with a 10.585% stake in the capital of the company chaired by Marc Murta. With this operation, the United States financial entity becomes the second shareholder, behind the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI) and ahead of Escribano, which last week increased its commitment to the iconic company in the defense until reaching 8% of the capital.

The bulk of JP Morgan's operations respond to financial instruments, the so-called "equity swap", and only 0.013% to direct participations in the company, according to detailed information to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

These instruments are usually acquired by banking entities on behalf of third parties. Indra does not know which investor may be behind this operation.

In this context, 10.585% of Indra is equivalent to 267.39 million euros at the current market price. Indra shares closed today at 14.3 euros, close to the historical highs reached last week.

Escribano, with 8% of Indra and already the third shareholder, has the option of requesting a position on the company's board of directors, although he has not done so yet. Indra's CEO, José Vicente de los Mozos, is finalizing the strategic plan that he will announce in the first quarter of next year with the company's roadmap for the coming years.
