Elon Musk accepts an endurance challenge for his Tesla Cybertruck: this is the surprising result

In Spain, Joe Rohan is very little known; However, he has great notoriety in the United States. So much so, that this comedian and martial arts fan has managed to get Elon Musk himself to appear as a featured guest on his podcast. The conversation between the two was relaxed, touching on various topics, including the “indestructibility” of the Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup.

Throughout the talk, the CEO of the automobile company boasted of the high level of resistance of his vehicle which, he said, has managed to pass some ballistic tests (with two types of guns, one 9 millimeters and another 45mm). At this point, Rohan asked if the body would be able to withstand the impact of an arrow: "I bet I can nail it." ''I bet you can't. "I'll bet you a dollar," Musk replied.

The comedian asked if he would accept the challenge of checking it out at that moment. And the tycoon did not hesitate to pick up the gauntlet that had been thrown at him. Thus, they went to the place where Musk had parked the pickup truck with which he had gone to the appointment. And there they proceeded to run the test.

Rohan already had the bow prepared to carry out the test. He stood a few meters away from the car, while Musk, puffing on a cigar and with a drink in his hand, looked at him with a smile. We don't know what was going through the Tesla owner's head at that time, but it is likely that he remembered the embarrassment he experienced at the presentation of the Cybertruck, when he wanted to demonstrate that the vehicle's windows were so hard that they could withstand the blow of a heavy object and it was not like that. The window broke when a member of the team threw a metal ball at it. Without a doubt, it was a fiasco.

Would the same happen with the arrow? Would it be able to stick into or penetrate the outside of the car? In just a few seconds the answer would be discovered. Rohan proceeded to draw the bow to launch the arrow. He pointed to the rear side door and released his fingers. The arrow left at a speed of 300 km/h, hitting the car.

As the owner of SpaceX had predicted, the hard stainless steel sheet withstood the “attack” and only ended up with a small mark, an insignificant dent. According to Musk, in a normal car it would have easily penetrated the bodywork. The arrow took the brunt of the test, since its tip broke. Thus, the Tesla CEO won the bet.

On November 30, it is expected that – several years late – the first deliveries of this electric pick-up will begin, which has been a real headache for the magnate due to the problems in manufacturing it, on account of all the technology it carries and its particular design.

"It will take an immense effort to achieve high production volumes and have a positive cash flow with a price that people can pay," admitted Musk, who estimates that until 2025 Tesla will not be able to produce 250,000 annual units of this car.
