At around 9 p.m. yesterday, the pre-agreement was closed to unblock the collective agreement that was putting pressure on the ceramic industry in the Valencian Community. The Ascer employers' association and the CCOO del Hábitat PV and FICA UGT PV union organizations thus reached a consensus for the VII collective agreement for the ceramic tile manufacturing industry, based in the province of Castellón. The pre-agreement also unlocks the next strike calls, announced for April 5 and 9.
Among the pre-agreements reached, both signatories have committed to a salary increase of 3.5%, applicable to the table concepts of the collective agreement with retroactive effects to January 1, 2023 and a second, already for this year 2024, which It implies an increase of 2.5%, also with retroactive effects to January 1, 2024.
The pre-agreement also implies a reduction in working hours: it is so that the maximum annual day of effective work will be 1,776 hours in 2023 and 1,768 hours in 2024. The document also contemplates reduction coefficients for retirement and makes explicit a commitment to constitute a mixed commission to analyze and study the feasibility of urging the Administration to advance the retirement age of the affected workers.
This and the rest of the details of the agreement will be transferred to their respective assemblies and governing board for ratification and will be scheduled next Friday, April 12, for the formal signing of the collective agreement. In its assessment, Ascer explains that the pre-agreement has been reached "after months of difficult negotiations", developed at a time of serious uncertainty for companies that, they assure, despite this have made an "important effort" that will improve economic conditions. of people employed in the sector.
