X(Twitter) removes news headlines and links

X, formerly Twitter, improves the aesthetics of tweets by removing headlines from news links. The social network wants to change the platform to make it more modern, as it did in July with the logo, going from a drawing of a bird to an X.

The links published in X appeared with the headline of the news, forming a larger box. Now, only the main photo of the news appears and within the image in the left corner the internet domain to which it belongs. To access the news, users have to do the same as before: click and a tab with the article will open. The idea is to minimize clickbait and thus eliminate sensational headlines.

However, this improvement does not apply to all links that users publish on the platform. In the case of advertisements, everything remains as before.

The X team has been working on the new updates for months. Elon Musk, the owner of the platform, tweeted in August in response to X Daily News: "This is coming directly from me. It will greatly improve the aesthetics."

Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022 and has since decided to change the internal concept of the platform. In November of the same year, he launched Blue Twitter in the United States, a monthly subscription so that users could have verified profiles. In Spain it did not arrive until February 2023. With this subscription, users could upload 10-minute videos. Even so, this verification was not very effective, since fake accounts decided to pose as inauthentic users.

Another of Musk's changes was to tag users according to their function. Users are verified in blue, companies and organizations in gold, and finally, members of the government in gray. However, these accounts remain verified without paying the subscription mentioned above.

The businessman decided that users could upload a 60-minute video and the "For you" and "Following" tabs were introduced with the aim of showing the user those accounts in relation to their preferences.

In April 2023, Twitter created a subscription for content creators so that those with the most followers could monetize thanks to the platform. A month later, Musk enabled voice notes in direct messages, such as on Instagram or WhatsApp.

In July the most radical change came. The businessman decided to change the logo and name of this social network. Musk changed Twitter for X.
