The municipal investment is 12.1 million euros, which is added to the 8.2 million euros of investment in the first promotion. The forecast is that the 41 homes in the first development will be finished in the last quarter of 2024 and the 53 that are starting now will be finished in the second quarter of 2026.
Once the prison is demolished, the second phase of the first development will be completed, with 35 more homes, which will add up to a total of 129 homes for the relocation of families from the Trinitat Vella. The two promotions are the result of the 2021 agreement with the Generalitat for the transfer of the former Wad-Ras and Trinitat Vella prisons to the Free Trade Zone.

The new 53-story development will have an interior patio that will be a public plaza, where the four lobbies of the development will be located. Regarding dimensions, forty apartments will have three rooms and will have between 74 and 79 square meters, nine will have two rooms and will have between 58 and 66 square meters and four will have four rooms with an area of between 81 and 89 square meters. .
The building has been designed taking into account criteria so that it has a low energy demand. The project also includes elements to make homes healthier, such as the use of toxic-free materials.
