The Czech Republic has confirmed its presence in the world of international beauty with the crowning of Krystyna Pyszková as Miss World. This victory not only puts Pyszková in the global spotlight, but also gives her important responsibilities during her one-year reign. This 24-year-old Law and Business Administration student beat 115 other contestants in the contest held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai, India.
This year's contest was fiercely competitive, in which Pyszková stood out not only for her obvious beauty, but also for her intelligence and her commitment to social causes.
The Czech shined above rivals of recognized talent and beauty, leaving behind in the final phase of the contest Yasmina Zaytoun, from Lebanon, as well as the semi-finalists Aché Abrahams, from Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo, from Botswana. Paula Pérez, the Spanish representative, was among the twelve best and third at the European level.
Born in Trinec, a picturesque town on the border with Poland, on January 19, 1999, Pyszková has combined her studies in Law and Business Administration with a successful career as a model, working with renowned international brands.
In addition to her skills on the catwalk, Krystyna speaks English, Polish, Slovak and German, demonstrating her commitment to communication. Before winning Miss World, she had already demonstrated her commitment to improving the world around her by founding a school in Tanzania to teach English to local children, reflecting her belief in education as a tool to social change.
