Club Vanguardia is giving away 30 double invitations to subscribers to enjoy a guided tour of the new permanent collection of MACBA in Barcelona, an experience that includes a cocktail on the museum's Meier terrace, on May 16 at 7:00 p.m.
The new exhibition of the MACBA Collection Poetic Intention, which borrows the title of Glissant's book of the same name, is understood as an exercise that proposes a break with the institutional framework, offering a space for reflection and criticism where the concept and experience " art" are presented as a generative and emancipating principle.
This new approach to the Collection makes use, to a large extent, of works acquired in recent years that seek new relationship scenarios with the existing works of the Collection, but also with works on loan from artists who are or are not part of it. In this way, a new storytelling is configured that includes absences and favors other discourses.
The participation deadline is May 3, 2023, while the draw will take place the following day, May 4.
