Tuchel returns the leadership to Bayern in his debut against Dortmund

Thomas Tuchel made his debut through the front door as Bayern coach, right in one of the decisive games of the season. Under his orders, Bayern not only beat Borussia Dortmund 4-2 in the German classic, but also regained the leadership of the Bundesliga, exhibiting a great level of play.

The game, which leaves Bayern at the top of the table with two points ahead of Borussia, was practically sentenced in the first 22 minutes. Tuchel, who took over from Nagelsmann during the international break, showed little change in his approach but did show a somewhat more defensive disposition in the opening minutes with Davies playing a bit further back.

The debacle that would become the first half for Dortmund began with a sung by Kobel who reappeared under the sticks after a period out due to injury. The goalkeeper, instead of clearing a ball from Upamecano that was aimed at Sané, ended up introducing the ball into his own goal.

The two goals from Thomas Müller, in the 18th and 23rd minute, left the game seen for judgment. Coman made the fourth for Bayern in the 50th minute and Dortmund managed to moderate the result with a penalty converted by Emre Can in the 72nd minute due to a foul by Gnabry on Bellinghman and another goal by Donyell Malen already in the 90th minute.
