Tribute to Miquel Martí and Pol en Berga

Walking through Berga we can find a fountain with a sculpture that reminds us of this poem by Miquel Martí i Pol:

I have a stone in my hands. Every night I let her fall into the deep well of sleep and pull her out the next day soaked in life

If we reflect, we can interpret the poem as a hymn to water as a source of life, in opposition to the serious drought we currently suffer.

Miquel Martí i Pol was a renowned Catalan poet, author of numerous works that have been highly appreciated by the public and critics.

His work is characterized by great sensitivity and depth, and addresses themes such as life, death, love and nature.
