Three people arrested for managing five marijuana plantations in Madrid and Toledo

High voltage operation. Civil Guard agents, belonging to the Roca de Aranjuez Team, have managed to arrest three people and investigate a fourth for their alleged involvement in crimes against public health, membership in a criminal group, electricity fraud and document falsification, it has been reported. the Civil Guard Command in a statement.

Those now detained had established a corridor between the southern area of the Community of Madrid and neighboring towns of Toledo, where they had four homes and an industrial warehouse, perfectly equipped for the cultivation and production of marijuana.

The origin of the investigation came at the beginning of summer, after a worrying increase in the consumption of prohibited substances was detected, especially among minors.

From the study of the complaints filed by the agents it was clear that a group dedicated to the sale of narcotic substances through the retail method was operating, which led the ROCA team to intensify its surveillance in rural homes far from large population centers, and that could host marijuana plantations without attracting attention.

The established device bore fruit when locating a home in Villar del Olmo (Madrid), where the agents detected a puncture in the electrical network. This fact led them to establish surveillance over this place, until they were able to identify the people who came to the house.

As a result of the work carried out, four other places where the group operated were located, also identifying all its members.

This group took extreme security measures, they had security cameras with motion detection in the homes and in the warehouse in the town of Mora (Toledo). The plantations had been installed in underground areas that were difficult to access.

In addition, they used bent license plates, false identity documents, changed addresses from time to time, and often took alternative itineraries.

In the home searches carried out, 1,105 plants were found in a state of growth, 2,970 grams of crushed marijuana, as well as utensils and objects for their care (lamps, extractors, humidification systems, etc.), in addition to 9,000 euros hidden inside. from the dashboard of one of the vehicles used.

It should be noted that they were in the process of expanding the plantations, and were preparing new rooms. The group had a novel system for extracting ozone, adding essences to avoid the characteristic smell of marijuana.

The detainees, among whom is the leader of the group, a known criminal with a history of similar acts, were made up of three individuals, two men and a woman, with the collaboration of a fourth person who was investigated, and have been made available to the competent Judicial Authority.
