Thirteen people were arrested in Marseille for the shooting in Castelló d'Empúries in January

The Mossos d'Esquadra and the French National Police have arrested thirteen people in Marseille (France) allegedly related to the attempted murder of a man that occurred on January 24 of this year in Castelló d'Empúries (Alt Empordà) and who could belong to the criminal organization DZ Mafia.

As reported this Tuesday by the Mossos d'Esquadra in a statement, the detainees are ten men and three women, between 15 and 25 years of age, who will be brought to justice in the coming days.

The Prosecutor's Office of Marseille has coordinated a police operation deployed this Monday, March 11 in Marseille with the participation of the Criminal Investigation Division of Mossos d'Esquadra de Girona, who were part of the team of more than 80 investigators specialized in the fight against organized crime. An investigation that lasted 14 months.

Last June, a joint operation was signed at Eurojust (European Union Agency for Criminal Judicial Cooperation) between the specialized interregional jurisdiction of Marseille and the investigative court of Figueres, formed by the Mossos d'Esquadra, by the OCLCO (Office Central de Lluita against crime organization) and the judicial police of Marseille and Perpignan.
