A 94-year-old woman has been released by the National Police in Valladolid after arresting her son, whom the mother accuses of having kept her locked in a room for the last 40 months in unsanitary conditions, and after the neighbors They were alerted to this situation by the screams that the old woman was uttering.
The Police explained this Tuesday in a statement that this man was arrested last Sunday afternoon as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of abuse in the family, after neighbors reported blows in the house and a strong argument in the one in which the woman shouted: "Help, it kills me."
Faced with this situation, the agents went to the home, located in the Delicias neighborhood of the Valladolid capital, where an elderly woman reported that her son had locked her in a room for 40 months without even leaving to go to the bathroom.
The woman conveyed to the agents who came to the home the fear she felt for her son, with whom arguments were "habitual," according to the victim's own account and her neighbors.
However, apparently on Sunday the son threw her onto the bed and grabbed her tightly by the neck when the mother did not provide him with bank details, the Police statement added.
The agents, after verifying the unsanitary state of the house, requested the health services to transfer the woman to the Clinical University Hospital for treatment.
After being brought to justice, this man has been released with charges, awaiting trial, as allegedly responsible for a crime of abuse in the family environment.
