The Ministry of Health has fired a doctor from a health center in the Port of Sagunto (Valencia) who requested the forced admission of a patient for "being homosexual" and being "a danger to children."
As sources from the Ministry have explained to EFE, the doctor has been investigated and it has been decided to imminently end the employment relationship with the aforementioned doctor, who had been hired as reinforcement within the framework of the vacation plan for health personnel. .
These decisions have been adopted immediately after learning of the facts, according to which this doctor called the Police, who appeared at the health center, to request the forced admission of a patient "for being homosexual" and for considering him "a danger to children.
The National Police has told EFE that it has received a complaint about these events and has opened an investigation for a possible hate crime.
From the management of the health department, the apology has been conveyed to the patient on behalf of the entire health area.
