The former vice president of Valencia CF Miguel Zorío filed a complaint against Peter Lim, the club's top shareholder, at the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, against the three presidents that the entity has had since it was bought, Amadeo Salvo, Layhoon Chan (who is once again now in a second stage) and Anil Murthy, as well as agent Jorge Mendes for economic crimes such as false accounting, misappropriation, unfair administration and corruption between individuals.
The complaint expressly cites the sale of Brazilian goalkeeper Neto Murara to Barcelona and the purchase from the Catalan club of goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, and in both cases it is ensured that the operations were "off the market" and that it was done "to prevent Peter Lim had to face more than 30 million euros of losses in his income statement”.
“The directors of FC Barcelona benefited from that same accounting artifice, and all with the relaxed gaze of the LFP. It is a crime of accounting falsehood for which Italian Juventus has been penalized last week," the statement said.

“The participation of investment funds and clubs linked to Jorge Mendes in these arrangements, are the ones that focus the crimes of unfair administration and corruption between individuals: Benfica Stars Fund or Quality Sports Investments. All this with the help of the president of Valencia CF at all times ”, he explains.
“This is the first time that Peter Lim has been denounced as de facto administrator of Valencia CF, a figure that includes the Spanish penal code. Now Peter Lim will no longer be able to hide behind the presidents and president that he has put in charge of the club. He is the one most responsible, although not the only one, for how Valencia CF has been emptied economically, sportingly and socially," Zorío said in a statement.
