They annul the entrance exam to the Badalona Urban Guard for having the answers marked

The qualifying court of the first test of the selective process to access the Badalona Urban Guard (Barcelonès Nord) that was held on Sunday, has decided to cancel it because some of the answers appeared marked on the questionnaires distributed with the correct answers. The unions demand responsibilities and ERC will take the case to the Antifrau office.

As reported by the Independent Union of the Local Police SIP-FEPOL, in response to complaints from the candidates, the court has verified that the exam files did not have any notches, but when checking the printing of those files it has detected that some of the answers were "very subtly marked" in bold and that the marks corresponded to the correct answers.

For its part, the other union force, the Unitary Trade Union Platform, considers the fact "very serious" and understands that it cannot be tolerated that "errors of this type" are committed with all the resources allocated. For this reason, they demand that responsibilities be cleared in the Human Resources department of the City Council, responsible for the selection test.

The first political reactions to the incident came from the ERC spokesperson in the City Council, Àlex Montornès, who assured that his party will raise the case to the Anti-Fraud Office through "a formal complaint." The PSC spokesperson, Fernando Carrera, declared that he will demand the holding of a municipal plenary session. In any case, the municipal government attributes it to an error and they rule out any type of manipulation.

For this reason, the court "has agreed to annul the test carried out today and not to correct any exam", while also establishing a new exam date "so that all applicants have all the guarantees and rights inherent to the selection process." .

The union has explained that, unlike on other occasions, this time an external company has not been hired to develop and prepare the questionnaires for the first test of the process, which has been the one that has been annulled. "Our union section - recalls SIP -FEPOL- has already requested that an external company be continued to be hired to be in charge of this part of the process to avoid any anomaly or error, as has happened."
