The wildlife route of the Gurri river

On the way from the river Gurri de Vic to the Bruguer bridge there are many animals. I have portrayed these for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia on a morning walk along the shore, when they can be observed in their natural habitat from birds to rabbits.

The Gurri is a tributary of the Ter River. It originates on the northwestern slope of Matagalls, in Montseny, and runs north. It collects water from the terminals of Seva, Taradell, Santa Eugènia de Berga, Malla, Calldetenes, Vic and Roda de Ter.

The Bruguer medieval bridge began to be built in 1348, although the works were delayed due to an epidemic of plague and other vicissitudes. As can be seen in the photographs, it is made up of five arches and is 40 meters long. It was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1983.

The name of the bridge refers to the nearby Mas Bruguer. Its construction finished in 1434, when it was inaugurated.

The first urban center you pass is that of Gurri, which gives it its number, by the Gurri Xic farmhouse, in Taradell.
