The week of the Armchair Awards in Premià de Mar

Coinciding with the return of the Butaca Awards and the tenth anniversary of the Espai l'Amistat, Premià de Mar (Maresme) has organized a series of activities under the name of 'The week of the Butaca', which begin this Thursday at the municipal theater and culminate on Monday, November 14 with the award ceremony at the Sports Pavilion.

Espai l'Amistat hosts three proposals in the framework of the Perspectives program of the Free Theater and the Barcelona Provincial Council, with the function of the show "Syndrome de ice", Thursday 10 November (8 pm); the performative proposal "La Taula", Friday November 11 (8 p.m.); and the "Cosmos" activity, Saturday 12 November (12 noon).

All three activities are free and are part of Perspectives, the program of activities that offer scenic productions with the Lliure quality seal with the support of the Diputació, accompanied off-stage by a series of cultural and educational experiences that contextualize them. The next Perspectives appointments are in Santa Coloma de Gramenet on November 14 and 15 at the Banús Public School, the Sagarra Theater and the Singuerlin - Salvador Cabré Library.

Next Monday, November 14, the XXVIII Butaca 2022 Awards will be presented at a gala that will be broadcast from the Premià de Mar Municipal Sports Pavilion by the local television network from 8:00 p.m. During the event, awards will be given to the best shows and professionals of the season.

The musical "Cantando bajo la lluvia", with 10 nominations, stands out among the productions that are eligible for more awards; with six nominations, the shocking "Animal negre tristesa" and "La Honte"; with five nominations, the dramas "The Swallow" and "The weight of a body"; and with four nominations, the new version of La Brutal from "Romeo and Juliet", the adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel, "Murder on the Orient Express" and Pere Arquillué's monologue written by Josep Maria Miró, "The most beautiful that will ever have been found in this place”.
