The Valencian company asks the Government to strengthen public and private collaboration

The traditional lunch at the beginning of the school year organized every year by José Vicente Morata has brought together today fifty companies from the Community, representatives of financial entities and chambers of commerce together with the presidents of the CEV, Salvador Navarro, and of AVE, Vicente Boluda. At the meeting, the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, conveyed to businessmen the latest decisions taken by his Government in the field of tax reduction, elimination of bureaucratic obstacles, reduction of political spending, support for the expansion of the Port. of Valencia, attraction of foreign investment and collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce, among others.

For his part, Morata has defended the need to prioritize the economy and business in the political narrative. “We are going through a time of uncertainty,” she stated, “with high inflation, high interest rates and a global economic slowdown that especially affects Europe. The Spanish political situation does not favor business decisions either, which is why economic decisions must be prioritized,” she stated. In his speech, Morata positively valued the actions of the Mazón government. “At a time when the economy is not prioritizing, we want to appreciate that Carlos Mazón's government is talking about investments, productivity, administrative simplification or spending reduction. "It is companies that create wealth and employment and that is why it is important to improve the environment in which they carry out their activity."

The president of the Chamber has asked the new government to focus its efforts on those economic areas that are working well: exports, investment attraction and quality tourism. “It is necessary to increase public-private collaboration, reduce non-productive spending and focus on those investments with a return”, he stated.

In his speech before lunch, José Vicente Morata also highlighted the opportunities that the Comunitat has. “Companies are making investment decisions to adapt to the new economic scenario and are willing to collaborate. For this reason, he said, addressing the President, we need to work closely with businessmen and the government.

"We are sure - he added - that you will implement different measures that will promote the competitiveness of the Valencian economy and companies in such fundamental areas as public-private collaboration, reindustrialization, the promotion of logistics, investment in innovation, sustainability and digitalization, the reduction of bureaucracy and, ultimately, generating a fiscal and legal environment that makes it easier for companies to work, advance and adapt quickly to a changing and uncertain national and international scenario.”
