The night watchman of a company dedicated to scrapping in Montcada and Reixac has died in the fire that broke out in the yard of the plant this Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out at 1:46 a.m. in the warehouse, located in the Can Cuiàs industrial estate, and firefighters worked to contain the flames.
They controlled the fire at 2:46 a.m. and extinguished it at 3:20 a.m. During the inspection of the scene, they found the victim's body inside a motorhome that burned completely, along with a truck and another motorhome, partially affected. The fire has not affected the structure of the ship.
Six Firefighters, five from the Mossos, two from the Local Police and one from the Medical Emergency System went to the scene.
The Mossos d'Esquadra opened an investigation following the discovery of the body, while the Firefighters are working to determine the causes of the fire.
