The subscription economy continues to grow

The subscription economy does not stop growing and during the last decade it has entered all areas of our lives through subscriptions to music, cars or mobiles, among others.

Thus, as revealed by a study carried out by Telecoming, in 2026 a total of 606 million users will increase their monthly spending to 30.5 euros on subscription services. In the case of Spanish households, 87% currently have a subscription to some product or service, and this is especially evident in those with higher incomes.

However, although more and more companies are switching to pay-per-use, in the business environment this change is not yet as evident as in the domestic environment. One of the main reasons why companies prefer subscription to purchase is savings. In an inflationary environment marked by uncertainty and increasingly high costs of living, companies now have the opportunity to explore new alternatives in their daily lives.

Under the premise of promoting a more sustainable consumption, Simplr promotes all kinds of subscriptions for companies. Thanks to a flexible, centralized and all-inclusive consumption of assets, the platform facilitates the transition towards a circular model, more respectful of the environment, whereby products are used and when they are returned they are reused, extending their useful life.

In addition, companies that offer products and services under subscription also allow centralizing expenses, and changing course, or canceling them when necessary. In this way, spending is energized, and represents an opportunity, beyond being detrimental to changing professional environments.

On the other hand, Simplr is also positioned as an entity that accredits sustainability, thanks to the issuance of different recognitions in the field of green emissions and the circular economy. These include certificates such as Reuse 0 waste, CO2 Neutral, circularity accreditation, compliance with the European Sustainability Directives (CSRD) and the Circular Scorecard.

In this way, Simplr adapts to small, medium and large corporations, adapting on-demand services to the needs of each one, while continuing to take firm steps in its commitment to a globally sustainable future.
