The sky of Valencia lights up with 4 simultaneous castles to welcome 2024

The sky over the city of Valencia has lit up in multiple colors to celebrate the New Year. The Vulcano Pyrotechnics fired two tons of gunpowder in a show that lasted about eight intense minutes.

An "unprecedented pyrotechnic show", with the simultaneous launching of four artificial castles from the roof of the Town Hall and three points on the old river bed: in front of the Serrans Towers, the bus station and the City of Arts and Sciences .

Hours before the shot, the Councilor for Central Services of the Valencia City Council, Julia Climent, explained that "the quadruple shot" of Pirotecnia Vulcano, was designed "in 15 phases combined with aerial elements of different caliber" to achieve "a continuous crescendo of light and sound".

On the occasion of the celebration of the Green Capital of Europe in 2024, the color green has been the first to shine in the city's sky. Likewise, all the products used in the castles have been handmade and made of cardboard and biodegradable and recyclable plastic.
