The emergency services continue this Monday with the search for the two young people, aged 16 and 17, who disappeared last Friday afternoon after they went fishing on the coast of El Confital, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and did not return. at the agreed time.
According to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) 112, the device to locate the minors began around 7:15 p.m. on March 8 when a call notified of the situation.
That same afternoon, staff from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted several people who had anxiety attacks in the area of the incident and on Saturday the Red Cross dispatched the Psychosocial Emergency Response Team (ERIE) to care of the families of those affected.
For its part, the search operation has continued throughout the weekend by land, sea and air, resuming early this Monday with the participation of the Sasemar 101 Maritime Rescue plane, as well as resources from the Guard. Civil, Police of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, Local Police, as well as firefighters of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Ground troops from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Government of the Canary Islands also participate in the search, as well as drone units from the Local Police and firefighters from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as from the GES.
