The questioned recommendation of Pablo Motos to not gain weight this summer

Pablo Motos is one of the most controversial communicators in our country. Throughout his career, the presenter of El Hormiguero has starred in different speeches that have generated many debates on social networks.

A few months ago, the Ministry of Equality launched a spot to make citizens aware of the different types of sexist violence that exist in the world. In one of the situations posed by the video, a television presenter could be seen asking his interviewee if she "wears sexy or comfortable underwear" when she sleeps. Although the actor cannot be identified as Pablo Motos, many gave him the role because the presenter asked the exact same question to Elsa Pataky in an interview years ago.

Said announcement caused great discomfort to Tamara Falcó's friend, since thousands of people hung up on him the title of "misogynist" and he became one of the public figures who received the most hate on the Internet.

After several quiet months, Motos yesterday uploaded a publication to its official Instagram profile that has set social networks on fire. In it, the presenter explains a trick to eat less and, therefore, gain less weight.

The comedian explained that the time from when we eat a food until the feeling of satiety takes place is crucial and that it usually lasts about ten minutes. A little later, he advised his more than 2 million followers to distract the brain during this period with foods like olives and nuts, as well as avoid bread. Although many Instagram users have appreciated the communicator trick, the general response to the piece has been negative and hundreds of people have complained about his words on social networks.

''I really don't understand how a public figure who is followed by many people and who is not a nutritionist, can be giving advice of this type. Many adults/adolescents can see themselves reflected in this message and feel bad if they eat a piece of bread in those 10 minutes that you say,'' commented a woman in the post. Another user, for her part, reproached the Valencian for not having the necessary studies to be able to launch that speech: "Someone tell me what studies Pablo Motos has to make such a statement. Hunger and satiety cues are innate and should be followed, not encouraged to restrict food as is done in this post."

While many users complained about the words that the Valencian gave on their social networks, some experts on the subject wanted to give their opinion and outline Pablo Motos' nutritional message.

Eric Yves Legras, a fan of the communicator and a faithful follower of his program, got more than 40 'likes' in a comment he put on the publication. In said message, the young man expressed that olives and nuts are precisely the foods that have the most calories and reproached the famous for his intrusion: "Leave nutrition to the specialists and focus on your program, you do it great."
