The PP councilor of Chamartín defends that only one family complained about the painted black king

The president of the Chamartín district board, Yolanda Estrada, commented yesterday in the neighborhood plenary session "that only one family had felt offended" by the appearance in the video of the parade of kings of a painted black king with a strange accent, reports the Ser chain.

What's more, he defended that "it was a controversy created by the opposition", when it was a highly criticized issue a few days ago both on social networks and among the opposition.

Last December, the Chamartín municipal board launched on its website that you could request personalized congratulations from the Three Wise Men. On Thursday, January 4, the videos began to reach the families who had requested it and they came across a white man painted black. The City Council defended that six actors had been hired to play Baltasar "five black and one white." And that the videos had been recorded according to the availability of the actors.

When Baltasar sent messages to the children he spoke with a strange accent. He seemed to be trying to speak Spanish, as if he were a foreigner, but the result was a strange speech. Many social media users spoke out, including the Más Madrid representative in Congress, Tesh Sidi, who through her X account described it as "shabby and racist."
