The Emergency teams of the Valencian Community are working at this time on a new forest fire declared in the town of Barracas, in Castellón and bordering the province of Teruel. As they have confirmed from Emergencies, the fire has started by the fire of the engine of a wind mill that has reached forest vegetation.
At the moment, four aerial means of the Generalitat Valenciana are working, seven units of forest firefighters, one of them helitransported, 6 fire trucks and an endowment and a forestry coordinator of the Fire Department of the Diputación de Castellón. In addition, a fire prevention unit and two environmental agents from the Ministry of Agriculture are involved in the extinction.
It so happens that Barracas is the same town where the Advanced Command Post was located for the past forest fire declared in Villanueva de Viver on March 23 and extinguished just a few days ago.
