It is not the Caribbean, nor an idyllic place in Africa, but this snapshot in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos corresponds to a sunset in Santpedor, in the Bages region.
The image places us north of Manresa and in the flattest sector of Bages, where most of the territory is used for crops.
Although Santpedor is currently one of the towns in the region with the greatest urban growth, there is still room to capture idyllic sunset images like this one.
At the same time, in Santpedor work has been underway for some time on the recovery and conditioning of the marshes in the south of the town, where the existence of interesting ornithological species has been confirmed.
The sunset is accompanied by a colored sky thanks to the candilazo phenomenon. As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
