The Kings and King Juan Carlos celebrate together the 60th birthday of Infanta Elena

This Wednesday, Infanta Elena managed to seat King Juan Carlos at the same table with King Felipe who, along with other family members, shared the family meal with which the 60th birthday of Felipe VI's older sister was celebrated. King Juan Carlos, who had arrived in Madrid from Geneva at 11:30 in the morning, began the return trip along the same route in the middle of the afternoon.

No party, no gala, all the guests came in everyday clothes to entertain Elena de Borbón who, early in the morning, went to her workplace at the Mapfre Foundation headquarters. The infanta has performed the miracle of bearing witness to the first occasion on which King Juan Carlos, Felipe and Letizia, have met in the same space. Although it has not been possible to capture an image of the Kings and the king emeritus together, since they have entered and left the restaurant separately, it has been the first time in which it is certain that they have shared the same space and have stepped on the same place. On the two previous occasions on which father and son saw each other in Madrid, the first after Juan Carlos's first and controversial trip to Spain in May 2023, and the second on the occasion of the family party held in El Pardo by the majority of Princess Leonor's age, no images could be captured beyond entries and exits by car.

The one that could be seen today has been the most relaxed image of the royal family and the King's relatives for years. The meal was held at the Pa-Bú restaurant, a recently opened establishment located two blocks from the Bernabeú stadium, which is characterized by changing the menu every day, with prices ranging between 110 and 150 euros.

King Juan Carlos, who had arrived this morning shortly after 11:30 from Geneva and accompanied by Infanta Cristina, arrived at the restaurant shortly after 2 in the afternoon, while Queen Sofia, together with Cristina, arrived almost at the same time in another car, all coming from the Zarzuela palace. Next to Cristina were her children Irene, Miguel and Pablo, and with the hostess, who received her guests inside the premises, were her children Felipe and Victoria de Marichalar. Infanta Margarita and Princess Irene, the only remaining aunts of Infanta Elena, as well as her cousins Alexia de Grecia, María Zurita and Simoneta Gómez-Acebo, were not missing from the meal. '
