The images of Princess Leonor in a military uniform

With the last names Borbón y Ortiz embroidered on the uniform shirt and her hair tied up in a bun. Princess Leonor has dressed for the first time a military uniform of the Army, in the campaign modality, in which it has also been her first full day at the General Military Academy of Zaragoza, where she entered on Thursday to begin her training within the Armed forces. La Zarzuela has made public this Friday some photographs taken today in the center, both inside the classes where the students receive the first instructions, and in training.

The Princess of Asturias arrived at the academy dressed in white pants, a blue shirt and white sneakers and dragging a suitcase in which she carried her personal belongings, some clothes for exit permits and also underwear and pajamas or nightgowns, in addition to all kinds of items you will need during your days at the academy, such as personal hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, and a first-aid kit.

Upon her arrival at the Academy, the Princess was given four uniforms to wear on a daily basis. The daily one and the official one in khaki; the etiquette one and also a special one for maneuvers, in addition to boots and specific footwear; she also gives them sportswear that they can wear with their own sneakers as long as the footwear is discreet, non-branded, and color-free. In the case of cadet ladies, their hair must always be tied up in a ponytail or braid that does not extend beyond the armpit and, on gala days, young women must wear a bow tied with a net to prevent it from coming undone.

The Princess of Asturias arrived at the facilities of the General Military Academy (AGM) in Zaragoza, on Thursday at 12 noon, accompanied by her parents, the King and Queen, and her sister, the Infanta Sofía. After getting out of the cars, they were received by the director of the center, General Manuel López Pérez.

Before entering the building, Princess Leonor said that she really wanted to start but acknowledged, at the same time, being "somewhat nervous."

After spending just over 20 minutes inside the premises where the center's management is located and signing the honor book, Leonor said goodbye to her parents and sister. Earlier, the King, who was wearing the summer uniform of the Captain General of the Army, acknowledged that he had given his eldest daughter "a lot of advice", including that she be "very attentive and let herself be advised" by the rest of his colleagues and colleagues.

The monarch recalled that he entered these same facilities "38 years ago", a day of which he has "very good memories", and that seeing "Leonor live it is exciting". They have transmitted to him, he has added, his encouragement because "the first days will be hard and for him to overcome them with desire, patience and effort".

Leonor, who will come of age on October 31, thus begins her journey to be the first woman to hold the supreme command of the Armed Forces when she comes to the throne and follows in the footsteps of her father and previously her grandfather, the emeritus king. The AGM has had to prepare a specific study plan since Doña Leonor will have to take two courses in one.

On October 7, he will swear the flag together with the new cadets, and the next day, he will join the second-year students. In June of next year he will go to the Naval School of Marín (Pontevedra), where he will embark as a midshipman on the Juan Sebastián Elcano school ship, and the following year, on the San Javier Air School (Murcia) in order to Provide comprehensive training.

Once instructed in the three armies, she will become number one in the promotion of the 2026/27 course with the rank of lieutenant, in Land and Air, and of naval ensign, and from there she will rise at the rate they do. their classmates.
