The device against forest fires of the community of Andalusia (Infoca) has stabilized the morning of this Good Friday, the fire declared at 3:45 p.m. last Wednesday in the Sierra de San Bartolomé, in a place known as Betis from the Cadiz town of Tarifa, where the fire has affected at least 50 hectares.

Currently, according to Infoca, 40 troops continue to fight the flames on the ground supported by two fire-engine vehicles, while a heavy Kamov model helicopter is dropping water on the area affected by the fire from the air.

Let us remember in this regard that at dawn last Thursday, 70 people from the neighborhood of El Chaparral were evacuated in prevention, who were transferred to the meeting point established in Venta del Tropezón, a place where the Advanced Command Post has also been deployed. .

The Bologna Neighborhood Association, set up as a shelter by the Tarifa City Council, counted this past Thursday more than 35 rehoused residents, since the rest would have resorted to the homes of relatives or friends.
