The fate of the Coma-ruga sun

I have captured for La Vanguardia Readers' Photos the moment in which a resident of the municipality of Vendrell contemplates the fate of the sun in the maritime neighborhood of Coma-ruga, where night will inevitably end up succeeding day and vice versa.

Coma-ruga is a coastal town belonging to the municipality of Vendrell, although, until 1946, it was part of the old municipality of Sant Vicenç de Calders.

Coma-Ruga beach, as can be seen in the images, is wide. It measures 2,300 meters long and its maximum width at low tide is 100 meters.

It is one of the most appreciated beaches on the Tarragona coast. Not in vain has it had a Blue Flag since 1988. In the middle of the beach, in front of the center of the urban center, is the Marina. In the sand we can still see boats, like the one this neighbor uses as a seat to contemplate the sun.

The candilazo sky also accompanies the sunrises and sunsets on this beach, as we can see. It is a meteorological phenomenon in which the clouds in the sky show a wide palette of colors ranging from pink to the most intense orange.

As part of the phenomenon of dispersion of sunlight, in the morning and afternoon hours, when the sun is closer to the horizon, the light that reaches the Earth is soft tones between red and orange.
