The expansion works of the CAP of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres begin

Work to expand the Llavaneres Primary Care Center (CAP) is already underway. This is a project to expand and reform the current facility, located on Paseo de Jaume Brutau. A new building will be built with a ground floor and an upper floor, which will be attached to the north façade of the current facility. Both buildings will be connected with a new staircase core and an elevator. The expansion will mean a growth of 661.24 m2 which, together with the current 631.11 m2, will mean a total constructed area of 1,292.65 m2.

On the ground floor, seven new consultation rooms will be located, as well as the waiting room, the health education classroom, a warehouse and the services-changing rooms for users. The consultations will face the north façade. As for the waiting room, it will be located in front of a new landscaped interior patio. On the first floor, there will be six consultation rooms with a waiting room, user services and administrative area units, such as the group room, meetings, multipurpose uses and staff changing rooms. All rooms will have natural lighting and ventilation.

Photovoltaic panels and aerothermal units will be installed on the roof of the building. It is a commitment to achieving an energy self-sufficient facility, which will be able to function for much of the year passively, also thanks to good insulation, natural cross ventilation between facades and patios, the architectural form and orientation.

The expansion of the health center will be carried out in part of the space occupied by the old Labandaria School. In October the classrooms were demolished.
