New police coup against the counterfeiting of articles in the El Portús neighborhood, in La Jonquera (Alt Empordà), where a large part of the commercial activity of this border municipality is concentrated.
The Civil Guard intervened on June 14, a total of 4,771 fake items from different luxury brands such as Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent bags in a commercial establishment in the area.
Among the seized items, apart from bags, there were also polo shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, sneakers, watches... from different relevant brands.
The merchandise was valued at more than one million euros, specifically 1,063,692 euros, as determined by the expert representative of the affected brands who proved their falsehood.
The garments lacked the brand's own labeling and packaging. The agents investigate the owner of the establishment for an alleged crime against industrial property.
