The Civil Guard 'hunts' a man with drugs in the bottom of his shoes after realizing that he was not walking 'normal'

A 68-year-old man was arrested in the Port of Almería this Thursday after being surprised when he was carrying about a kilogram of drugs that he was carrying hidden inside a false bottom of his shoes, as reported by the Civil Guard.

Agents from the Tax Section carried out this arrest during a passenger control and luggage recognition service during ship embarkation and disembarkation activities in the Almeria dock.

In the disembarkation area, they observed that an elderly traveler who was not walking 'normal' was approaching. Furthermore, they detected that his nervous attitude increased as he approached the police presence.

Given the suspicious attitude of this person, her hand luggage was inspected and, at the same time, she was transferred to separate rooms to identify her and carry out a more detailed search.

During the examination of his clothing, they found four pieces of hashish perfectly molded to fit into the footwear in a false bottom of his shoes. Once weighed, the pieces gave a total weight of 930 grams.

Finally, the agents proceeded to arrest him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health, and the proceedings have been made available to the acting Investigative Court of Guardia de Almería.
