The result of the elections on May 28 in Barcelona that was announced last Friday after the review of the votes considered null remains unchanged. The Barcelona Area Electoral Board has today rejected the appeal that BComú, the formation of the mayoress of Barcelona, Ada Colau, presented against the final count.
The Board thus ratifies the agreement made by the president of the polling station whose result was questioned by the commons. According to them, the copy of the minutes that their agent received did not match the copy of the administration and, therefore, they proposed that the 150 votes attributed to Ciudadanos be transferred to BComú.
In another table with the same discrepancy, the candidacy of Ada Colau proposed to increase the votes to this formation by 40, but the Electoral Board has also ratified the initial decision of the president of that table.
BComú also filed a claim because the invalid votes were not reviewed in the final count, something that Vox also claimed and that the Barcelona Area Electoral Board has dismissed.
For its part, the PSC filed a claim because the scrutiny found that the data from the computer system had crossed the results of two polling stations and only the data from one was corrected, and after this claim the second will also be modified.
This decision leaves as definitive the results announced last Friday, with which BComú not only does not snatch from the PSC the councilor that could be under discussion, but the Socialists increase the difference with respect to the commons that had been announced on the night of 28 of May.
The constitution of all the city councils, including that of Barcelona, and the election of mayors is scheduled for June 17.
