The Provincial Court of Madrid has sentenced two municipal police in the capital for sexual abuse to a young woman who jumped the confinement during the Covid-19 pandemic. Los agentes han sido sentenciados a dos años y un año y medio de prisión.
According to the legal text, the officials saw the complainant walking in front of a man on Ricardo Ortiz street, in the Elipa neighborhood (linear city). When they were on public roads at a forbidden schedule, they stopped them. They checked the man and let him leave. Quite the opposite of that with the victim who, after admitting that she had attended a party, they decided to accompany her to her home.
It was when he arrived at the portal where he resided when he was informed that they were going to proceed to cache it even though the regulations establish that a woman must be registered by a police of the same sex, except in flagrant or very serious cases.
The agents informed the young woman of this although they warned her that, if she followed the rule, the procedure was going to take much longer. The victim finally agreed. But with the excuse of a search, one of the agents put his hand inside her clothes while touching her breasts and nipples "with libidinous spirit" and later doing the same on her buttocks and vulva.
After reporting the facts, encouraged by her close circle to whom she tearfully told what had happened, the agents' defense focused on trying to discredit the victim by pointing out that if the search had taken place in the portal it was to prevent her from having “cold” and that if the complaint existed it was due to an alleged “administrative irregularity” in the legal situation of the young foreigner.
Although the Court has not doubted in its ruling given "the seriousness of the attack is plural and by whom it metamorphoses from a guardian angel into the opposite", as Eldiario.es has advanced.
In addition to the prison sentences, the convicted persons have been unable to carry out their work as law enforcement agents during the time of the sentence, while at the same time they are prohibited from approaching the victim less than 500 meters or from his house, or from communicating with her, for three and a half years.
