This Wednesday, the Lleida Court held the first session of the trial of the Lleida resident accused of fatally running over two motorcyclists while driving drunk and drugged on the A-22, near Alpicat (Segrià), in 2021.

The hearing began with the statements of the victims' relatives and the Mossos.

The agents have said that the accused, who will testify last, was driving a vehicle with clear signs of having had an accident and they detained him.

Asked about the facts, the man told them that "he had hit something and had continued" and was "unconcerned" and "uncooperative." He later tested positive for alcohol and drugs.

The parent of one of the victims has demanded "justice so that no parent goes through this."
