On October 5, the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested ten men between 21 and 52 years old in the same apartment block in La Jonquera as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health.
The investigation began months ago, when the police learned that in a block located on Pont de La Jonquera street there could be several points of sale of narcotic substances.
After obtaining a judicial authorization to access five of the suspicious homes, the agents searched the rooms of the different properties in which they found a total of 2,019.57 grams of hashish, 33.9 grams of heroin, 72.82 grams of cocaine and 154.6 grams of marijuana as well as other substances that are pending identification.
The value of the drug, according to the National Central Narcotics Office, would be approximately 21,160 euros. Given these events, eight men were arrested during the raids and two more later, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health for drug trafficking.
The Mossos d'Esquadra keep the investigation open and do not rule out more arrests. Those arrested were placed at the disposal of the Figueres court on guard duty on October 7.
The magistrate granted provisional release, withdrew their passports, prohibited them from leaving the territory and obliged them to appear periodically in the investigative court processing the case.
