Spain already knows its rivals for the Nations League

Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia will be the first rivals of the Spanish team in the Nations League. A draw in which 'the red one' has avoided all the 'bogeymen'. They will not face Portugal, the most dangerous in Pot 2, nor France or Germany, the toughest in Pot 3.

Spain was placed in group A4 during the draw for the group stage of the Nations League, held in Paris. As current champion, it avoided facing Croatia (runner-up), Italy (third) and the Netherlands (fourth), but in a peaceful draw it has managed to avoid the toughest teams.

Although the draw has been good for the current champion, Luis de la Fuente warns that he sees it as "frivolous" to trust. "There are three teams that are among the best 16 in Europe. I have the utmost respect for all the rivals, they are all very difficult," said the Spanish coach.

The group stage will start on September 5 and will last until the month of November with round-trip matches between all the members of each group. The first two finishers will advance to the quarterfinals, a tie that debuts in this edition and will be played in March 2025. The final phase, in which Spain has been in the last two editions, will be held from June 4 to 8 of 2025.

The Spanish international Juan Mata acted as an innocent hand to extract the balls from the A league pairings. Coincidentally, Spain wanted to repeat one of last year's rivals: Switzerland. Against the Swiss team, 'the red' achieved a victory (0-1) and a defeat (1-2).

The Andorran team, participating in League D, the lowest of the four, was placed in group 2, along with Moldova and Malta. These are all the groups that the draw for the group stage of the Nations League has held, in which a total of 54 teams have participated divided between four leagues:
