Sánchez demands that Feijóo apologize for the hatred and lies

The first secretary of the Socialist Party and president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, demanded this Thursday from the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, that he “apologize for the hatred he has spread and the lies he has told in these five years.”

Sánchez, who this afternoon held a rally in A Coruña accompanying the candidate of the Socialist Party of Galicia, José Ramón Gómez Bestiro, once again dedicated part of his speech to the controversy over the amnesty and the changing position of the Popular Party and has accused their leader of acting with hypocrisy. “In the morning, agreeing on the amnesty with the independentists and in the afternoon, demonstrating in the street,” he said.

"In politics and in life, doing one thing and the opposite is called hypocrisy," said Sánchez, delving into Feijóo's change of position on the amnesty. However, he celebrated that this is the case because it represents a commitment to politics to resolve a political conflict.

Along with criticizing the PP, the socialist leader has also referred, at another point in his speech, to the alliances of his government, which he has defended, although he has admitted that it is complicated: “With the actors we have, of course it is Complex, but worth it. And for that reason I look for votes even under the stones to improve pensions, or measures in favor of women and equality.”

The socialist leader has also called to “concentrate the vote” in the socialists to ensure that there is “the same political orientation” in the Xunta and the Moncloa. In this way, Galicia will take “the giant step” it needs to be able to take advantage of all the “possibilities and opportunities” that, according to Sánchez, it has not had with the PP Executive.

This is Pedro Sánchez's penultimate rally in the Galician campaign, which tomorrow will close together with the PSdG candidate in Santiago de Compostela.
