Seventeen teams from nine countries and three different continents will compete in the second edition of the Jaén Paraíso Interior Cycling Classic, which will be held on Monday, February 13, between the World Heritage cities of Úbeda and Baeza in Jaen.

The sports groups, as reported by the organization in a statement, will arrive from the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, the United States, Great Britain, Switzerland or Belgium, with a squad of 119 runners at the starting line; and nine will be the UCI ProTeam sets, the second world division.

Along with the four Spaniards, Burgos BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Equipo Kern Pharma and Euskaltel-Euskadi, will include the American Human Powered Health, the Swiss Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, the Belgian Team Flanders-Baloise, the Israeli Israel –PremierTech and the also Belgian Lotto–Dstny.

"Half the squad of the Tour de France will be in the Jaén Paraíso Interior Classic and we should be happy about the response," said Pascual Momparler, general director of the race, who stated that they are "very happy because many of the best teams of the world have wanted to come and that's for a reason".

Seven are from the UCI WorldTour category, the first division of world cycling and the announced Astana Qazaqstan, Movistar Team and UAE Team Emirates will be joined by the French Arkéa-Samsic and Cofidis; the Belgian Intermarché–Circus–Wanty; and the British Ineos Grenadiers, winner of seven of the eight Tour de France contested between 2012 and 2019.
