The 2023 Summer Festival in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès Nord) will officially start this Friday, September 1, with the ringing of the Festival and the Inaugural Entourage. At 9:00 p.m., the proclamation will be made on the balcony of the Town Hall by the night watchmen of the city. And the night will be filled with independent music with the XXIII edition of Cortocircuit at Mas Fonollar and FISC-SINTONIZZA at Parque de Europa. The concerts will continue in the marquee of the pl. Pau Casals, on the pl. del Reloj and on the pl. de la Vila, where the singer Vicco will perform, among others.
Saturday, September 2, throughout the day, the 3rd edition of Violeta Festival will be held in the space of La CIBA, a co-educational children's and family festival. There will also be family and children's shows spread throughout the different areas of the city. The traditional Toque de Gralla and the XXVIII Meeting of Giants will be held. The Sagarra Theater will host the comedy show El hombre orquesta, by Peyu. The concerts will continue at Mas Fonollar and the second day of the FISC-SINTONIZZA as well as a night of folk in the gardens of Can Roig and Torres. There will be no lack of the traditional correfoc of the Fiesta Mayor.
Sunday, September 3, in the morning there will be the traditional Toque de Fiesta Mayor and the Office of the Fiesta Mayor in the Iglesia Mayor. Also a trobada castellera in the pl. de la Vila and the massive popular crowd in the Parque de Europa. The day will take place with a lot of children's activities and in the afternoon with the parade and concert of the Music Band of the Can Roig y Torres Musical Association. The nostalgic will have the opportunity to enjoy the Mustang concert in the pl. of the Villa. At sunset, the 9th birthday of the children's correfoc will be the protagonist, the concert by Rojas from Colomencia, in the pl. by Pau Casals, and that of La Frontera and La Guardia, on the pl. of the Villa.
Monday, September 4, shows and activities for children and the elderly. Also sardanas with the Cobla Bisbal Jove in the gardens of Can Sisteré. The night will be dressed in light and color with the traditional pyromusical in the Can Zam park and the end of the party will take to the stage of the pl. de la Vila the concert of Carlos Baute.
As is tradition, there will be an extensive program of sports activities with a table tennis tournament, a children's chess tournament, men's and women's paddle tennis, inclusive football and the Popular Festival Athletics Race, among others.
Once again, the Fair of Attractions will be installed in the Europa/Can Zam park between September 1 and 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Monday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the children's attractions in the Europa park will work without background music to facilitate the enjoyment of children with hearing hypersensitivity and autism spectrum disorder.
There will also be the traditional Entity Fair with its 'chiringuitos' in the Can Zam park, a festive meeting point and engine of associative activity in the city gathered in the same space. There will be no lack of the Alternative Fiestas program.
Furthermore, during the Summer Festival, the great gastronomic festival of the Corretapa de Fiesta Mayor will take place, where more than 50 establishments in the city will offer a tasting of their specialties paired with a drink for a price of €3.
Purple dots will be installed in all the celebration spaces of the 2023 Summer Festival. The purple dots are intended to inform, raise awareness, prevent and attend to macho attitudes and sexist behavior that occur in public spaces.
