Salt distributes three million of a fifth prize

Salt's number 1 lottery administration has distributed 3,120,000 euros with one of the fifth prizes, 92023, of which it has sold 52 series. The two lottery brothers who have run the 'Loto Salt' establishment for just a month and a half were ecstatic for having delivered so much luck at its debut.

"I can't believe it, I can't believe it, we are very happy and excited," Mireia Muela said this morning, celebrating an award "widely distributed among the people of the neighborhood." Àngel Guimerà street, where the administration is located, is a densely populated area where humble families live. The issue was sold primarily over the counter.

Shortly after the children of San Ildefonso sang the winning number, numerous neighbors approached the establishment on whom luck has smiled. One of them was the 80-year-old resident of Salt Assumpció Brugués, who entered the premises shouting 'I have it, I have it!'. She was not a regular at the establishment. She was nervous, she said that she heard the winning ending listening to Rac 1 and that she still doesn't know what she is going to use this pinch for.

But for the lucky ones, the Lakbir family. Nothing, the 9-year-old daughter yesterday afternoon convinced her father to take a number ending in 23, in reference to the current year that we are about to end.

"I told my father: Dad, I really like this number, 23, shall we take it? We bought it yesterday around 5 in the afternoon, there were very few tenths left," Nada said this afternoon in the presence of his father, originally from Morocco. He has been in Salt for 40 years and has already had luck smile on him a couple of times, as the girl stated. "With this money we will go on vacation," the family said happily.

To her five children who have stayed in Honduras, she plans to send the 6,000 euros that Luz Marina received, in her first experience in Spain with the lottery. "There had never been a buyer," she said, showing the woman, who works caring for an elderly person, showing the winning number and that she opted for this finish simply "because I liked it."

Marieta Rodríguez, also of Honduran nationality, a community widely represented in Girona and nearby municipalities, where it is estimated that there are some 20,000 residents of this nationality, was also awarded.

With tears in his eyes, he explained that he bought a number for one of his children who is having a hard time. The termination was not random. The winning number contains the date of birth of two of his children. "I gave it to him on Sunday," says the woman, who had not yet been able to tell her son, who works in a slaughterhouse, that today he is a little richer than yesterday. "This year I didn't have more money to buy more numbers," explained the woman, recently retired, who has been living in Salt for 24 years.

Abdoullay Diallo, from Mali, arrived in the Canary Islands by boat from Mauritania three years ago. "It was a hard journey, five days, for which I paid a lot of money," he recalls now with the tenth prize, 92023, in his pockets.

As hard as his beginnings in Europe, where he had a hard time finding work and supporting himself. "At first, he lived thanks to the Red Cross," says the 37-year-old man, who currently works in a fishing company and lives in Girona. He has received 6,000 euros, money that he wants to use to take a trip. "I feel very lucky after everything I've been through," he said with a smile from ear to ear.

Administration 1 became an in and out of winners and curious people who wanted to know if luck had also smiled on them. Among those who approached at the stroke of one in the afternoon was Hussein, a regular at the administration who chose the winning number by chance. "I was going to pay the electricity bill and when I passed by here, I found this pleasant surprise, which was my turn!" said the young man who still doesn't know what he is going to use the money for.

Mohammed's thing was to arrive and kiss the saint. He says it was the first time he bought a tenth, a ticket that was a winner. He arrived in Salt in 2017 and after a period in Holland, he has returned to his host city. "With that money, I will go to Morocco for a few days," he stated.

A young couple celebrated having chosen the ending in 3, for their daughter's birthday, March 3. The Cameroonian Gui, who has been at Salt for more than two decades, was also dropped by the administration. "Yesterday I passed by here and bought a number. The prize is not very big, but it is something," said the unemployed man. He will allocate it to essential things: to feed his family.

There are so many stories behind the 520 tenths sold in administration 1 of Salt, the oldest in the municipality and for a month and a half in new hands, those of the brothers Ismael and Mireia Muela, who have debuted in the best possible way .
