Ryan Gosling wins an award for Ken's song in 'Barbie' and his face becomes an instant meme

Ryan Gosling has become the unexpected star of the 29th edition of the Critics Choice Awards, held this Sunday in the city of Santa Monica (California). The actor was perplexed when he heard that the song I'm Just Ken, which he himself performed in the movie Barbie, won the award for Best Song.

Against all odds, the song performed by Gosling won over the favorite What Was I Made For by Billie Eilish. Also recognized above Dance the Night, Dua Lipa's contribution to the Barbie cinematic universe.

The actor did not know how to react. After the announcement, many could not stop noticing his face. "He just created a meme with this face," one of them joked. "I still laugh at Ryan Gosling's face," said another.

Gosling was not at all excited. In fact, he did not go up on stage to collect the award. Yes, the song's writers, Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, did.

They did not want to forget the actor. "Ryan Gosling, this award is as much yours as it is ours," Ronson said. The authors of the song do believe that it is a unique song: "You made the world, and the audience, fall in love with this song with your unmatched performance, so thank you."

Gosling's reaction from the table could not have been more concise: a simple smile to settle one of the most uncomfortable moments of the 29th edition of the Critics Choice Awards.
