Renfe signs an agreement with the Mas Salagros resort to promote sustainable tourism

Renfe and the Mas Salagros resort have signed a strategic agreement to offer exclusive and sustainable tourist packages to Barcelona. This agreement reinforces the commitment of both companies to sustainability and excellence by promoting more respectful trips, according to a statement from both companies.

This collaboration offers a sustainable and efficient option for those seeking conscious and environmentally friendly tourist experiences, the note states.

Mas Salagros EcoResort is the first 100% ecological EcoResort on the Peninsula. It is located in a nature reserve, overlooking the Serralada Litoral Protected Park in the Maresme region. "Its location, together with its 100% sustainable operation, make this a unique place in Spain due to its full dedication to sustainability and environmental protection," the note states.

Endorsed by the Green Globe certification, the most prestigious recognition in sustainability at a global level, this resort implements environmentally friendly strategies in every aspect of its operation.

From the selection of sustainable materials in its construction and the use of restored and recycled furniture, to its commitment to a 100% ecological and certified gastronomic offer, complemented by products from its own garden that enrich the cuisine of its restaurants.

In addition, Mas Salagros prioritizes the use of renewable energy, including biomass and solar, reaffirming its commitment to a greener future. All buildings in the complex were built facing south in order to obtain maximum natural light output, especially in winter.

The resort also offers a gastronomic offer made with ecological and local products, generating the minimum possible waste to reduce the environmental impact as much as possible.
